Peak Kutelo is located at the main northern ridge of Pirin and is the second highest peak in the Mountains. Its height - 2908 m. ranks it second after Peak Vihren, located nearby. The Premkata saddle – situated between the peaks – is the easiest way to climb the summit. Kutelo is marble and its slopes descend steeply to the surrounding cirques and valleys. Kutelo's a double peak, with a small difference in height between the two parts – the one to the north is at 2907 m. and the other, to the east, is at 2908m. The famous narrow karst ridge Koncheto (lit. “The Foal”) begins there, separating it from Mount Banski Suhodol. The marked trail from Peak Vihren to Yavorov Hut passes nearby. From Vihren Hut the climb to the top takes about 3 hours. You can observe rare alpine plants on the sheer slopes.
