Mount Gerdek Tepe in Stara Planina is quite often climbed. It’s located on the territory of Central Balkan National Park, near the Beklemeto (Troyan) Pass, at an altitude of 1670m.

There are various routes to the summit. The hike to the top takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes if you start at the nearby Dermenka Hut. Some of the trails can be used by cyclists as well.
