Acad. Yordan Ivanov Regional History Museum in the town of Kyustendil is one of Bulgaria’s oldest museums. This place owns exceptionally rich museum funds and collections from all historical ages which familiarize the visitor with the beautiful and ancient town of Kyustendil, heir of the ancient Pautalia and the medieval Velbazhd.

 

As a result of long years of research and collection, the museum funds and the exhibition halls of Kyustendil’s Regional History Museum display precious items signifying the human civilization in all historical periods. The items are distributed in two exhibitions – an archaeological exhibition and a new numismatic exhibition.
