The first interactive museum of industry in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula opened its doors in March 2014 in the place of the old building of the History Museum in the town of Gabrovo. Today, making use of the latest contemporary technology, the museum takes the visitors in the industrial past of the town of humour and satire.

 

Gabrovo’s industry is presented in an intriguing and captivating way. Various kinds of industries and crafts are displayed – leather production, blacksmithing, pottery making, carpentry and others. A great amount of virtual tours, videos and imposing decors recreate the town’s period of blossoming and the way it became an industrial region of strategic importance.

 

The climax of the virtual tour back to the history of the town is in the evening thanks to the light show projected upon the façade of the museum with a 3D Mapping technology.
