The picturesque locality of Yundola and the eponymous village are located 16 kilometres away from Velingrad in the direction of Bansko and Razlog. The vast meadow which is the locality itself is situated at an average altitude of 1400 metres between the mountains of Rila and the Rhodope, on the watershed between rivers Lukovitsa, Yablanitsa and Yadenitsa. It is about 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide.

 

The beautiful locality is home to Yundola Mountain Resort that offers opportunities for summer and winter tourism. It is equipped with a ski run and a ski lift. The above-1000-metre altitude, the fresh air and the favourable climate of the region are suitable for undergoing procedures for treatment of respiratory, urinary, neural, allergic and endocrine diseases.

 

The locality is starting point of a number of tourist trails. Yundola chalet is located nearby. The Rogachitsa and Valyavitsite reserves, Filibishka polyana (Filibishka Meadow), the localities of Chernovets and Kurtovo, the Belmeken sports base and the Pashovi Skali (Pashovi Rocks) natural sight are also nearby. The unique rock phenomenon called Zhabata (The Frog) is also not far away.
