IKAR Gallery was founded in 2002. It continued the activity of the gallery which was opened three years before at Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd 6. It has held over 200 exhibitions, concerts, book presentations and reviews of both Bulgarian and foreign artists. The gallery works actively with established contemporary artists in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. It cooperates successfully with Turkey and Japan.

 

Since 2008 the gallery has been run by an ambitious team so, apart from organising monthly exhibitions of contemporary artists, it offers to its visitors presentations and consultations in setting up art spaces.
