Nikolay Binev Youth Theatre (Mladezhki teatar Nikolay Binev) is a state repertory theatre which stages not just classical and contemporary Bulgarian and foreign-language plays but also performances targeted to the children and youth audience. In the last couple of years its focus has been drawing more and more towards “informal” (for the Bulgarian theatre tradition) activities such as small concerts, poetry and drama readings and others. This turns it into a conceptually unique cultural institute which draws people of all ages towards its stages.
