Stanislav Dospevski Art Gallery – Pazardzhik is a standalone museum institute that collects, preserves and promotes movable cultural heritage of the realm of visual arts. The gallery was founded in 1963 as a department within the Common People’s Museum in Pazardzhik. In 1966 it united with Stanislav Dospevski house-museum. Artist Tsvetan Radulov was the gallery’s founder and first director.

 

Its artistic fund is divided in different departments: Painting, Graphics and Drawing and Icons as well as the author’s collections of Stoyan Vasilev and Georgi Gerasimov. At the end of 2012 the main fund consisted of 2585 units whose number reached 10 000 with the author’s collection added. The gallery has two branches: Stanislav Dospevski House-Museum and Georgi Gerasimov House-Museum. The Art Gallery has organized and hosted a number of events and has been a guest to galleries from the country and from abroad.
