Инициатива на Национален туристически клъстер „Българският пътеводител“ и ЕНЕКА ще предизвика туристи с цел да бъдат предложени начини за възстановяване на позабравени традиции и обичаи от района на Перник и Кюстендил, а от сръбска страна - в района на Пирот. Група туристи ще бъдат преведени през различни забележителности с характерни поминък, занаяти или традиции, като ще бъдат насърчавани да ги разглеждат от гледна точка на предприемачи, които трябва да ги възстановят и направят привлекателни за предизвикване на туристически интерес.

Two groups of adventurers will head out on both sides of the Bulgarian- Serbian border to look for traces of the former mythical creatures that inhabited these lands. Demigods, dragons and halls, fairies, witches and sorcerers, orcs and goblins, dwarves and giants are sung in legends and works of folk art.

The DANUrB Quality Label stands for and uses the rich cultural heritage, economic and social development, and strong community along the Danube River. This became evident at the DANUrB+ partner meeting, which took place for two days on May 20-21, 2021. It gathered online more than 40 participants from 19 partners’ organizations and 6 Danube countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia). Brainstorming has already started between the partners about its characteristics and features, branding elements, standardization for Danube Days, legal requirements, etc. Some good examples of quality labels were given from each country and there was a discussion about the most appropriate symbol, which has to be related to the Danube and will suit best the DANUrB+ slogan: “A Journey Connecting Communities”.

The DANUrB Platform has been reactivated and is ready to enrich its content with good new practices of cultural and historical heritage in the Danube regions. This became evident at the 3rd partner meeting, which took place on February 26, 2021. It gathered online more than 60 participants from 19 partners’ organizations and 6 Danube countries (Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia).

На 1 март започва един от най-обичаните празници от млади и стари в България – Баба Марта (а и не само – сърби, македонци, гърци и румънци също го празнуват). На тази дата символиката разкрива новото начало, идващата пролет, прераждащата се природа, стартиращата обработка на земята. Всеки се накичва с мартеници, подарени му от близки, роднини, колеги и приятели. Усмивките са за децата, които се радват на пъстрите цветове, форми и модели, с които са декорирани дрехите и китките им, но и за възрастните, които се надяват на здраве, щастие и по-добро бъдеще.

This week marks 148 years since the death of Vasil Levski. Vasil Ivanov Kunchev was born on July 18, 1837, in the family of Ivan Kunchev Ivanov and Gina Vasileva Karaivanova and was hanged on February 19, 1873, when he was only 35 years old. He remains to this day a symbol of determination, courage, and sacrifice in the name of the people. He is an example of combativeness and remains one of the most important figures in the revolutionary activity and the fight for the liberation of Bulgaria. In addition to creating a network of revolutionary committees throughout the country, he leaves us the words known as his testament:
"Holy and Pure Republic."
