Every good journey comes to an end! The best thing is that the upcoming 3rd International DANUrB+ Conference and Closing Event in Budapest, Hungary is just the “grand finale” of the current project period as the initiative will continue its excessive motivation for further development of the Danube Cultural Promenade in the following years.

Save the date in your calendars and join us on December 12th, 2022, at the Kristály színtér in Budapest. The conference is dedicated to significant project’s topics and discussions related to cultural cohesion, present and future of the Danube Region, community building and involvement, revalorization of built, natural, and cultural heritage, development of sustainable tourism and regional branding, and many more.


The detailed program of the conference is still under development, so to meet the high expectations, but here is a sneak peek at the paramount sessions among all:


  • Presentation of the “DANUrB+ Highlights”, where you will learn about the best practical solution on building a Cultural Promenade along the Danube River;
  • A more visionary session with inspirational speeches by international professionals from all around the European Union, together with a roundtable discussion;
  • Watch the PREMIERE of the fascinating DANUrB documentary film "Eyes of the Danube"! Be one of the first to see 12 different stories and good practices along the river and feel the passion of local people and stakeholders to the Danube and how they succeeded to valorize its heritage in truly authentic ways!


The event will bring together participants from all partners’ countries – Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovakia (organizations, associated partners, journalists, and stakeholders), but it is completely FREE of charge and open to the wider public. There are limited open spaces, so you will need to fill in a registration form to save your seat:

DANUrB+ project was launched in July 2020 to activate underused cultural heritage and resources on the peripheral and border regions along the Danube River. It is co-financed by the Interreg Danube Transnational Program 2014-2020. The expected result is to increase local development and international tourist attractiveness.
