The project partners National Tourism Cluster “Bulgarian Guide” and Budapest University of Technology and Economics are presenting the initiative in the digital world of the Festival as well as on the physical mobile exhibition in various locations along Brussels.

The event is planned around three pillars - Forum, Fair, Fest, and people with diverse interests will be able to exchange ideas towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and beautiful future in areas such as science, art, politics, design, architecture, and technology. The Forum features an inspiring, high-level conference, including round tables to TEDx style talks formats, discussions, and awarding prizes in 4 different categories. The Fair is an excellent entry point to the variety and diversity of the activities performed under the NEB aegis, showcasing projects digitally and on a fixed/mobile exhibition. The Fest embraces a program that appeals to various audiences with dance, installations, theatre, and music performances.

DANUrB+ is part of the 100 chosen projects to be displayed at the Fair segment of the Festival! The digital presentation is available on the website:

As far as the mobile exhibition is concerned, the project might be visited at booth (e-bike to electrical tuk-tuk) number 8 in different scheduled places across the center of Brussels:

  • On 9 June - Place de la Musique, GARE MARITIME (12:00-14:00) and at MONT DES ARTS (16:00-21:00);
  • On 10 June - PLACE DE BROUCKÈRE (12:00-21:00);
  • On 11 June - MARCHÉ AUX POISSONS (12:00-21:00);
  • On 12 June - MONT DES ARTS (12:00-21:00).

The project’s initiatives and activities are encouraging the collaboration between stakeholders and are promoting the tangible and intangible heritage along the Danube, in this way helping to develop peripheral regions in a resilient and sustainable way. It is employing a transdisciplinary policy approach combining cultural heritage measures with regional cooperation, the development of IT tools such as a web-platform and audio-tours, and cultural tourism. Some examples of what DANUrB+ is aiming, and what it has achieved and implemented are: The students’ building camp with the temporary PONTIpoly Bridge between Ipolydamásd, Hungary and Helemba, Slovakia, and the reArtory project in Dunaujvaros, Hungary based on three connected functions – recycling center, art museum, and art factory, etc.
