A whopping 400 bagpipers will launch this year’s National Folk art and livestock Fest “Rozhen”, on 17^thof July.

The performers will be divided into formations, representing four beams that slowly converge towards the main stage. Bulgarian tricolor flag with a staggering area of 24.000m2 will be the décor behind it. For the time being, among the performers that have confirmed their participation at the festival are: The Cosmic Voices of Bulgaria Choir, which will perform the anthem of the Rhodope Mountains "Bela sam Bela yunache" , Valya Balkanska and two kids, who will together perform a piece of "Izlel e Delio Hajdutin. "

This year’s  agenda includes: authentic folklore and ethnic culture competition "Rozhen"; traditional craft demonstrations; official opening of an ethnographic museum exhibition, animal exhibits, showcases of farm dairy and meat products, organic food and drinks fairs; fights,  culinary shows and barbecues, horse riding shows, folk festivities and fire walking. The Ecotourism, eco energy, eco food, beverages and eco-friendly materials forum is part of the preliminary programme as well.
