"The Power of Rock" Festival was launched in 2011. The previous four editions involved more than 70 Bulgarian rock bands, most of them students. We broke our own record last year (2014) when 32 rock bands from across the country performed at the finals.

THE IDEA:
The festival aims to give young and talented rock songwriters a chance and draw in new and unknown performers and bands from across the country. The organizers want to support the participants to promote themselves, encourage them to get a professional stage experience and showcase their skills in front of a jury of influential show business and music industry people.

PRESENTATION:
All participants perform live in front of a six-person jury and have a few extra minutes to present some of their other pieces as well. While the juries express their professional opinions and score the songs and performances, the audience has the opportunity to choose a favorite as well. The prizes are: professional recording and full service PR for an entire year; music video; high quality electric guitar and other smaller prizes for the individual performers.

CONDITIONS of Participation:
All those who wish to participate must submit the original (new) demos, they’ve chosen to perform on stage. The organizers will choose the best songs to compete in the semifinal and final rounds of “The power of rock”. Participants should not exceed 30 years of age(average). Deadline for submission of applications - August 31, 2015.

This year’s edition of "The Power of Rock" will cooperate tightly with the oldest rock festival in Europe - "Gitarijada", the town of Zajecar, Serbia. According to our agreement, the Bulgarian winner, automatically qualifies for the Serbian competition, the same applies to winner of the "Gitarijada"- he is going straight into the final round of "The Power of Rock”.
